How to link OnlyFans
from your Instagram bio.

By the peekin team. Updated . 5 minute read.

The short answer

Do not paste the onlyfans.com address straight into your bio. Put a link page there instead, on a domain you own, and make sure that page does not write the OnlyFans address into its own code. Then check it with a scanner before you trust it.

Why this is a question at all

Instagram lets you add a website to your profile, and up to five links in total. Nothing in the settings stops you typing an OnlyFans address there. The question is what Instagram does with it afterwards.

Meta publishes Community Standards that cover adult sexual solicitation, and separate recommendation guidelines that decide what it will show to people who do not follow you. Both are written broadly. Neither says "an OnlyFans link means a restriction". But both describe the kind of association a paid adult link creates. So creators look for ways to keep the link working for fans without putting that association in plain view.

You can read more on what Meta actually publishes in our guide to Instagram's rules on paid links.

The three ways people do it

There are really only three set-ups, and they are not equally exposed.

Most creators are on the second option without knowing it. It looks safer than the first, because the bio itself is clean. Whether it actually is depends on what the page gives away.

When a link is posted or added to a profile, Meta fetches the page with its own crawler. Meta documents this crawler for developers. It reads the HTML, the page title, the description and the Open Graph tags that build the preview card.

So the useful question is not "is my bio clean". It is "what comes back when Meta fetches the page my bio points at". If the OnlyFans address is in that response, the link page has not removed the association. It has only moved it one click away.

Our guide to what Meta's crawler sees walks through each part of the response.

Four things make a real difference, and you can check each of them yourself.

A fifth thing sits outside the page: the domain. A link page on an address shared by thousands of other adult creators carries that shared reputation. A domain of your own does not. See custom domains for OnlyFans.

How to set it up, step by step

Do the scan last, after your own link is on the page. A demo page with nothing paid on it passes the hardest check for free, so it tells you very little.

Be clear about the limits. A link page controls what a crawler can read off that page. It does not control your photos, your captions, how you post or what you have posted before. Accounts lose reach for reasons that have nothing to do with the link, and nobody can promise an account will never be restricted.

If your reach has already dropped, start with our guide to why Instagram restricts creator accounts. It covers the causes that are not your link, and the order to check them in.

Questions

Asked most often.

Can you get banned for having OnlyFans in your Instagram bio?

Meta does not publish a rule that says so, and it rarely tells you which signal it acted on. Its Community Standards on adult sexual solicitation and its recommendation guidelines are written broadly enough to cover paid adult links. The bare address in the bio field is the most direct version of that association.

Is a link in bio page safe for OnlyFans?

It depends on the page. If the page writes your OnlyFans address into its own HTML, a crawler can read it as easily as it reads your bio. Scan your page with your paid link on it to find out.

Should I write OnlyFans on the button?

You do not need to. Fans who arrived from your profile already know where they are going. A neutral label gives away less in a screenshot or a report.

Does a custom domain help?

It removes one signal: a shared address used by many other adult pages. It does not remove the others, so it works best together with a page that keeps the destination out of its code.

Check your own page first

The scanner reads any link page the way Meta's crawler does and runs nine checks. It is free and needs no account. If you want a page built this way, the plans start at the price on the pricing page.
