Instagram bio links
for adult creators.

By the peekin team. Updated . 4 minute read.

The short answer

Use one link in your Instagram bio, pointing at a link page on your own domain. Keep the bio text and the page safe for work, keep the paid address out of the page's code, and check Account Status in your settings to see whether the account can be recommended.

Instagram lets you add up to five links to your profile. The first one shows as the main link, and the rest sit behind a "and more" tap. Each link is shown as text on your profile, so the domain itself is part of how your profile looks.

When you add or post a link, Meta fetches the page behind it with its own crawler. What that crawler gets back is what Meta knows about the link. The bio text, the link text and the page behind it all count.

What to put in the five slots

More links is not better. Each extra link is another thing a crawler can read, and another choice that splits your fans' attention.

One link to a page you control is the cleanest set-up. You can change everything behind it without touching your profile.

What Meta actually checks

Meta publishes two sets of rules that matter. Its Community Standards decide what is allowed at all. Its recommendation guidelines decide what it will show to people who do not follow you. The second set is stricter, and covers content that is sexually suggestive even if it is allowed.

Neither set names link domains. What they describe is content and intent. A bio, a grid and a link page that together say "paid adult content here" fit that description. A profile that is safe for work, with a neutral link to a page that gives nothing away, does not.

Our guide to Instagram's rules on paid links goes through what Meta publishes, without guesswork.

Most link pages write every destination into their HTML. That includes your paid link. So the bio looks clean, but the page Meta fetches says exactly where it leads, often with a preview card showing your name and photo.

A page built for adult creators should do four things: keep the destination out of its code, show no preview card that pairs you with a platform, ask search engines not to index it, and put an 18+ check in front of the paid link. Read what Meta's crawler sees for the detail.

Habits that protect reach

The link is one signal among several. These matter at least as much.

Our longer guide to why Instagram restricts creator accounts covers each of these.

Checking where you stand

Instagram gives you one direct view: Account Status, in Settings. It shows whether your content and account can currently be recommended to non-followers, and lists any content that has been removed or limited.

For the link, run your page through the free scanner. It reads the page the way a crawler does. If it passes, stop blaming the link and look at the habits above.

If you want a page built this way, Starter is £3.99 a month, Creator £9.99, Pro £19.99, and Agency £39 a month for 3 creators, then £12 each. Every plan goes live on a shared address, included. Your own domain is not included in any plan: bring one you own for free, or buy one from £7 a year (£14 on Starter).

Questions

Asked most often.

Are adult links allowed in an Instagram bio?

Meta does not publish a ban on outbound links as such. Its rules restrict sexual solicitation and limit what it recommends. In practice the association between a profile and paid adult content is what gets acted on, not the fact of a link.

How many links can I add to my Instagram bio?

Up to five. The first shows as the main link. For adult creators, one link to a link page you control is usually the better set-up.

Why did my reach drop with no warning?

Instagram usually does not notify you. Check Account Status in Settings, then check your profile photo, posting pattern, reposted content and link page, one at a time.

Does peekin guarantee I will not be restricted?

No. Nobody can. We make the page unreadable to Meta's crawler and you can check that yourself. Instagram decides the rest.

Check your own page first

The scanner reads any link page the way Meta's crawler does and runs nine checks. It is free and needs no account. If you want a page built this way, the plans start at the price on the pricing page.
