TikTok link in bio
for creators.
By the peekin team. Updated . 4 minute read.
TikTok only shows the website field to some accounts, so check your Edit profile screen first. Its Community Guidelines do not allow content that points people to sexual content elsewhere, so keep the bio and the page you link to clean, and do not name a paid adult platform anywhere a moderator or crawler can read it.
Who can add a bio link on TikTok
TikTok does not give every account a clickable website in the bio. Whether you see the field depends on the account type and other conditions TikTok sets, and those conditions have changed over time.
The reliable check is your own app. Open your profile, tap Edit profile, and look for a Website field. If it is there, you can add one link. If it is not, switching to a business account sometimes adds it, but read TikTok's current help pages before changing account type, because it also changes which sounds you can use.
What TikTok's guidelines say
TikTok's Community Guidelines are stricter about sexual content than Instagram's or X's. They do not allow nudity or sexual activity, and they do not allow content that offers sexual services or directs people to sexual content off the platform.
In practice this means the bio, the videos and the captions all need to stay clean. Phrases that hint at a paid adult page, and emoji used as code for it, are the kind of thing moderators are trained to spot. A link page cannot fix a bio that says what it is.
The page your bio points at
If your TikTok bio links to a page, that page should be one you would be happy for a moderator to open.
- No explicit images or wording on the page itself.
- No preview card that names an adult platform.
- The paid address kept out of the page's code, so nothing readable connects the two.
- An 18+ check in front of anything adult.
This is the same shape that works for Instagram, which is useful: one page can serve both. See link in bio for adult creators for the full checklist.
The in-app browser problem
When a fan taps your bio link inside TikTok, it opens in TikTok's own browser, not in Safari or Chrome. That browser is not signed in to anything. A fan who is already a subscriber has to log in again, and a checkout may fail or ask for details they have saved elsewhere.
Every step like that loses people. A link page can help by offering to open the page in the fan's real browser, with simple on-screen steps if the app blocks the jump. On peekin this is called breakout, and it works on Instagram and TikTok.
Getting fans from TikTok to your page
- Keep the bio short and plain. Your name, what you post, and "link below" is enough.
- Use a domain of your own, so the link reads as yours and not as a shared service.
- Pin a video that gives people a reason to tap, without saying what is behind the link.
- Check your link page opens properly inside TikTok's browser before you rely on it.
If you post the same clips on several apps, read why recycled content gets suppressed first. Reposting exactly the same file is a common reason reach drops.
Measuring what TikTok sends you
TikTok's own analytics count profile views. They cannot see what happens after the tap. A link page with its own analytics can tell you how many people arrived from TikTok, how many tapped the paid link, and how that compares with Instagram.
See link in bio analytics for creators for what is worth tracking and what is not.
If TikTok will not let you add a link yet
Plenty of creators grow on TikTok before the website field appears. You still have options that stay within the rules.
- Send people to another profile you control, such as your Instagram, where the link lives. TikTok shows linked Instagram and YouTube accounts on your profile when you connect them.
- Use your username consistently across apps, so a curious viewer can find you by searching.
- Do not paste the address into captions or comments as plain text. It is easy to spot, and it is the kind of thing the guidelines describe.
When the field does appear, use your own domain from the start. Changing it later means every viewer who saved the old link loses you.
Asked most often.
Why can I not add a link to my TikTok bio?
TikTok only shows the website field to some accounts, and the conditions have changed over time. Check Edit profile in the app, and read TikTok's current help pages for your account type.
Can I link OnlyFans on TikTok?
TikTok's guidelines do not allow content that directs people to sexual content off the platform. Naming a paid adult platform in your bio or videos goes against that. Keep everything a moderator can read clean.
Does the TikTok in-app browser affect sales?
It can. Fans are not signed in there, so logins and checkouts are harder. A link page that offers to open in the fan's own browser removes that step.
Check your own page first
The scanner reads any link page the way Meta's crawler does and runs nine checks. It is free and needs no account. If you want a page built this way, the plans start at the price on the pricing page.
