X

X and Twitter bio links
for adult creators.

By the peekin team. Updated . 4 minute read.

The short answer

X allows consensually produced adult content as long as it is marked as sensitive, and not in places that cannot carry a warning, such as your profile photo or header. You can link a paid page from your bio. A link page on your own domain still helps, because the same link usually goes on Instagram and TikTok too.

What X allows

X publishes an adult content policy. It allows consensually produced adult nudity and sexual content, as long as it is marked as sensitive so that people who have not opted in see a warning first.

It does not allow that content in places a warning cannot cover. Your profile photo, your header image and, in practice, anything shown before someone chooses to see sensitive media need to stay safe for work.

Accounts that post adult media regularly are expected to set their media to sensitive by default. You do this in your privacy and safety settings, under the content you post.

X gives you a website field on your profile and room for a short bio. Unlike TikTok and Instagram, X's published policy does not forbid pointing people to a paid adult page.

So why use a link page at all? Because almost nobody promotes on X alone. The link in your X bio is usually the same link that goes in your Instagram and TikTok bios, and those platforms are stricter. One page, built for the strictest platform, saves you running three.

A link page also lets you change the destination without editing every profile, and tells you how many people X actually sends compared with the others.

When you post a link on X, X fetches the page to build a card with a title, a description and an image. That card is public and travels with every repost.

If you want the card to sell, that is fine on X. If you use the same link elsewhere, remember that the card is built from the page, so it shows the same name and image to every platform that fetches it. A link page with no preview card gives the same plain result everywhere. Pick the trade-off on purpose.

Keeping the account healthy

X's rules change more often than most. Read the current adult content policy in X's help centre before relying on any summary, including this one.

Measuring X against the other apps

X traffic is often large and low in intent. Many people tap out of curiosity. A link page with analytics shows how many arrived from X and how many of those tapped your paid link, which is the number that matters.

Give each campaign its own address and, behind it, its own tracking link on your paid platform. Then you can see which posts made money. Our analytics guide explains the set-up.

Set-up checklist

On peekin, Starter is £3.99 a month, Creator £9.99, Pro £19.99, and Agency £39 a month for 3 creators, then £12 each.

What to put in your X bio text

The bio is the first thing a new visitor reads. Keep it short and specific: who you are, what you post, and a reason to tap the link. On X you can be more direct than on Instagram, but a plain bio still converts better than a list of emoji.

Avoid putting the paid platform address in the bio text as well as the website field. It adds nothing for fans and doubles what any crawler can read. One link, to your page, is enough.

If you run a separate safe-for-work account for wider reach, give it its own bio and its own link, and do not cross-post adult media to it. Mixing the two undoes the point of having both.

Questions

Asked most often.

Is it allowed to put an OnlyFans link in your X bio?

X's published adult content policy allows consensual adult content when it is marked as sensitive, and does not forbid linking a paid page. Keep your profile photo and header safe for work.

Why use a link page on X if X allows adult links?

Because the same link usually goes on Instagram and TikTok, which are stricter. One page built for the strictest platform covers all of them, and shows you which app sends buyers.

Do I need to mark every post as sensitive?

If you post adult media regularly, set your media to sensitive in your account settings so it applies by default.

Check your own page first

The scanner reads any link page the way Meta's crawler does and runs nine checks. It is free and needs no account. If you want a page built this way, the plans start at the price on the pricing page.
